Joculeț de comunicare în limba Engleză

Welcome, welcome! Adicătelea, bun venit! Cum de-ai aterizat pe păginuța mea? Ești printre puținii, ceea ce nu poate însemna decât că ești foarte, foarte special 😀

Stai, te rog, nu pleca. Am un cadou pentru tine. De fapt, nu tocmai…

Uite, nu vreau să te amăgesc. O să-ți spun despre ce este vorba.

Îți place limba Engleză? Poate da, poate nu… Dar fie că-ți place sau nu, cu toții ar cam trebui să o știm întrucât limba engleză a devenit (de ceva vreme) o limbă de circulație la nivel global. Și dacă punem la socoteală și filmele science-fiction făcute de Americani, atunci limba engleză este o limbă vorbită chiar și de către extra-tereștrii! Ei bine, atunci, ce te faci dacă dai nas-în-nas cu un alien și te întreabă (în limba engleză, evident) unde este toaleta, iar tu (fiindcă nu știi limba engleză), îi indici o casă-de-pariuri sau Palatul Parlamentului..? Crede-mă, o să iasă foarte, foarte urât. Orice fărâmă de diplomație ar fi spulberată, alienii și-ar consemna că umanii sunt niște ființe țăcănite, și cine-știe unde Doamne iartă-mă s-ar mai ajunge.

Așa că ai face bine să știi limba engleză!

Dar eu vorbesc..?! Eu… recunosc. Nu mai știu să leg două vorbulițe.

Am descoperit limba engleză în primii ani de școală primară. Abia învățasem să citesc în limba română, când am descoperit o carte veche ce aparținuse unchiului meu: Alice’s adventures in Wonderland de Lewis Carroll. Eram atât de fascinată de acea carte și-mi doream atât de mult să aflu ce scrie în ea, încât o buchiseam în fiecare zi, ajutându-mă de dicționarul explicativ din dreapta fiecărei pagini. Mai târziu, când am învățat cum se pronunță cuvintele în limba engleză, am început să învăț singură poezioarele din carte. Dar îmi amintesc și-acum ce amuzați eram noi copiii, în clasa a doua, când ne-au adus primele manuale de limba engleză: citeam cuvintele precum se scriau și ni se păreau extrem de caraghioase.

La vârsta aceea, limba engleză însemna pentru mine Alice, și o îndrăgeam. Era singura materie la care eram bună, fiindcă în rest eram (rață pe) varză.

(Rață pe) varză am rămas în cam toți anii de școală, însă… la vreo 2-3 ani de la terminarea Facultății am descoperit că îmi pierdusem capacitatea de a lega două fraze în limba engleză. Citeam în continuare în limba engleză, însă fiindcă nu mai vorbisem de mult în această limbă, îmi pierdusem abilitatea de a purta o conversație. Nu mai eram nici măcar rață pe varză. Rața probabil fugise după iepurele Alisei. Așa că acum eram doar varză.

Am observat apoi că aceeași problemă o întâmpina și sora mea. Înțelegea fără probleme ce i se spunea (ori ce citea), însă în momentul în care era nevoită să vorbească în cadrul ședințelor de serviciu, cuvintele se legau foarte greu.

Așa că am pus la cale un mic joculeț, care să ne ajute să exersăm comunicarea în limba engleză chiar și atunci când nu avem cu cine exersa.

În primul rând, ajută foarte mult să citim cu voce tare din cărțile în engleză. Și dacă nu știți cum se pronunță un anumit cuvânt, vă poate ajuta un sofware text-to-speech (exista variante gratuite online).

Și-acum, joculețul. Este unul foarte simplu, pe care îl poate crea oricine, dacă credeți că vă poate fi de folos. Practic… sunt câteva liste de întrebări, tăiate în fâșiuțe, rulate și băgate într-o cutiuță.

Am pus în cutiuța mea o mulțime! De la întrebări de auto-cunoaștere până la întrebări-capcană specifice limbii engleze, întrebări care au fost puse la interviuri de angajare, întrebări cu ”iz filosofic” sau amuzante. Cel puțin o treime sunt inventate de mine.

Am selectat întrebări cu care mi-ar plăcea să port o conversație, de exemplu… când aștept la coadă la supermarket să întreb pe doamna casieră: ”Ce credeți că ar face oamenii dacă ar descoperi viață pe alte planete?”.

Glumesc, desigur, însă… există astfel de subiecte care se dau ca probă orală la examen. Prin astfel de exerciții ne exersăm capacitatea de a gândi practic într-o limbă diferită de cea natală, și nu este întotdeauna un lucru simplu (însă nicidecum imposibil!). Deseori gândim mai repede decât putem organiza în propria minte construcțiile specifice limbii respective, iar acest decalaj se observă în bâlbe și exprimări defectuoase. De cele mai multe ori gramatica este pierdută pe drum. Sau, dacă stăm să ne gândim prea mult la folosirea gramaticii corecte, atunci s-ar putea să venim cu un răspuns abia a doua zi după ce-am fost întrebați. Așa că, nu-i bai, prioritizați ce-i important, măcar la început până ce lucrurile încep să meargă mai ușor. Dar aveți grijă să nu vă obișnuiți cu construcții (lexicale sau gramaticale) greșite!

Joculețul poate fi făcut în orice altă limbă doriți să exersați. E fun. Puteți juca cu altcineva, e o ocazie drăguță de a vă cunoaște (și) mai bine.
